Ray is a highly experienced dance instructor at Yashin Studios, bringing over 12 years of expertise in street dance (locking) to our team. His passion for dance and dedication to his craft have made him a prominent figure in the Singapore dance community and beyond.

Experience

Ray's journey in dance began over a decade ago, and he has since developed a deep mastery of street dance (locking). His teaching style is characterized by a blend of technical precision and creative expression, making his classes both challenging and inspiring for students of all levels. Ray is known for his ability to break down complex moves into accessible steps, ensuring that every student can progress and find joy in their dance journey.

Ray's talent and hard work have earned him numerous accolades and opportunities to represent Singapore on the international stage. Some of his most notable achievements include:

• 2018: Lock City Singapore Qualifier Champion, Singapore Representative at Lock City Osaka World Finals.

• 2023: College High Singapore Qualifier Champion, Singapore Representative at College High 19 World Cup, Taiwan.

• 2024: 鎖 Singapore Qualifier Champion, Singapore Representative at 鎖 Taiwan.

In addition to his competitive successes, Ray has also been recognized as a respected judge in the dance community:

• 2022: 5OAK Locking Category Judge.

• 2023: Under One Groove Locking Category Judge.

• 2024: 鎖 Singapore Qualifier Student Category Judge.
